The upcoming version of the VOXEL-MAN ENT surgery simulator provides unique authoring tools which allow you to create your own simulator curriculum.
Based on the predefined (built-in) cases or on your own imported cases, you can define your own surgical training tasks. An experienced surgeon performs a master preparation on the simulator, adds a task description and an author information, and selects in which of the training applications the new task will appear.
The new task has exactly the same look and feel as the predefined tasks, and is available to all users of the simulator. Based on the master preparation which serves as a reference, the simulator even provides an automatic skills assessment with task fulfillment, injuries, time used, and a video capture of the session.
The authoring system for surgical training tasks is part of the upcoming VOXEL-MAN ENT 2016 software update.
